As part of the continual improvement of its system processes, the Bataan General Hospital conducted the strategic planning for this year with a theme "Team work makes the dream work" at the Subic Bay Traveler's Hotel in SBMA, Zambales last May 11-12 (1st batch) and 19-20 (2nd batch). The objectives of the said two day event were to develop a strategic plan using the SWOT Analysis and to strengthen the unity among BGH employees through team building.
Dr. Glory V. Baltazar, Medical Center Chief of BGH, gave her opening remarks wherein she emphasized the things that BGH is looking forward to most especially the implementation of the 350-bed capacity of BGH particularly in increasing the number of manpower complement in the hospital. Dr. Baltazar encouraged the employees to be an active member of the hospital and give their 100% effort in providing quality health care to the clients.
On the other hand, Dr. Roberto Luneta, Chief of Medical Professional Staff, delivered his lecture on Strategic Planning emphasizing the significance of SWOT Analysis in developing proper planning to achieve the goals of the hospital. Ms. Zenaida Ramos, head of Human Resource section, facilitated the workshop on SWOT Analysis wherein the three divisions of the hospital namely Medical & Ancillary, Hospital Operations & Patient Support and Nursing identified the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats in the hospital.
It was followed by a unity games that will strengthen the unity among employees and a socialization night. On the second day, the output of the strategic planning was presented wherein the problems and needs that were identified during the SWOT analysis will be addressed properly. Ms. Evelyn Rubia, Chief Nurse, gave the synthesis of the said activity.
