As part of the continual improvement of its system processes, the Bataan General Hospital conducted the strategic planning for this year with a theme "Team work makes the dream work" at the Subic Bay Traveler's Hotel in SBMA, Zambales last May 11-12 (1st batch) and 19-20 (2nd batch). The objectives of the said two day event were to develop a strategic plan using the SWOT Analysis and to strengthen the unity among BGH employees through team building.

"Strengthening Unity through sports" was the theme of the recently concluded sports fest of Bataan General Hospital from May 02 to 07, 2016. It started with a parade and opening program held at Bataan People's Center which was spearheaded by Dr. Vladimir Untalan, head of Anesthesia department. Dr. Glory V. Baltazar, Medical Center Chief, encouraged all employees to be physically active and be a good sport during the entire games. She added that the said event will not only strengthen the physical aspect of their lives but also the unity in the hospital especially in delivering quality health care services to the public.

The Bataan HAVEN has successfully conducted the Seminar on HIV-AIDS among BGH employees in the observance of Philippine AIDS Hour, Philippine AIDS Candlelight Memorial Celebration and Launching of Ligtas Buntis Ligtas Sanggol laban sa HIV at syphilis. Dr. Glory V. Baltazar, Medical Center Chief of BGH, emphasized that BGH is very fortunate for having a treatment hub dedicated for people living with HIV (PLHIV) which is the only one in the province. She added that it is the responsibility of each BGH employee to be aware on HIV-AIDS epidemic and show their support to those who are afflicted by the said disease. Likewise, she commended the HIV-AIDS Core Team (HACT) for their effort in spearheading the information dissemination campaign about HIV-AIDS.

The Bataan General Hospital has successfully participated in the nationwide mass training on Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) last April 25, 2016. The said activity with a theme "Save a Life, Learn CPR" was organized by the Philippine Heart Association (PHA) and the PHA-CPR Council in order to promote awareness and basic knowledge on Hands-Only CPR to every Filipino age appropriate for the skill, to strengthen and campaign to everyone to lobby and support the passage of the "Samboy Lim" Bill, to gather and unify all stakeholders providing training and education on Resuscitation in the country for the common advocacy and future initiatives and lastly to uplift the status of the Philippines internationally and worldwide in the field of Resuscitation that the Philippines is truly "CPR ready".
