The Bataan General Hospital has successfully launched the Hospital Hi-5 last August 10, 2015 at the Out-Patient Department with a theme "Alagang Pinoy, Alagang DOH, tungo sa Kalusugang Pangkalahatan". The program was formally started with an invocation which was delivered by Mr. Romeo C. Tuazon Jr, Health Education & Promotion Officer II followed by the singing of the Philippine National Anthem, DOH and BGH Hymns by the BGH singers. Dr. Glory V. Baltazar, Medical Center Chief I, gave her welcome remarks wherein she discussed the overview of the said program. Hi-5 which stands for High Impact Five focuses on the five critical interventions such as maternal health, Infant health, Child health, and HIV-AIDS and Service delivery network.

The Bataan General Hospital (BGH) was commended for the development and implementation of an "Online Pay Slip System" of salaries and benefits of employees. The system was developed by the Integrated Hospital Operations and Management Program (IHOMP) as one of the personnel services of the Human Resource Office.

The System provides easy and quick access of information on the details of payments of benefits received by employees. This is through internet or cellphone application. The pay slip may also be printed. The data include General Payroll, Philhealth Sharing, Hazard Pay, Subsistence Allowance and other benefits.

cervical cancer awareness month
The Bataan General Hospital observed the Cervical Awareness Month with a theme of "Babae, Mahalaga Ka: Laban ng Kababaihan at Proteksyon sa Kinabukasan" and the highlight of the celebration was the conduct of free Pap smear to all the women of Bataan aged 21 and above last May 21, 2015. It was preceded by a short program wherein Dr. Mithi C. Romero, OIC-Chief of Medical Professional Staff, gave her welcome remarks emphasizing the importance of having an annual pap smear as part of the screening for cervical cancer. Dr. King B. Porciuncula from the Dept. of Obstetrics and Gynecology gave a short lecture about the cervical cancer, its causes, risk factors as well as the measures on how to prevent it.

In order to increase the awareness of the public on HIV-AIDS, the Bataan General Hospital celebrates the National HIV Testing Week and AIDS Candlelight Memorial last May 11-15, 2015. It was started with the signing of the BGH employees to the advocacy wall to show their support to those persons living with HIV after the flag ceremony. There were also several advocacy videos played in the LED monitors at the different strategic sites of BGH to encourage the populace to be tested for HIV voluntarily. Simultaneously, health education classes were conducted at the OPD, business area, watcher's area as well as at the OB ward. Additionally, several IEC materials on HIV-AIDS like flyers and posters as well as lubricated condoms and fans were distributed at the different strategic sites.
