The whole family of Bataan General Hospital was gathered once again for its Annual General Assembly which was held last June 29, 2016 at the Out-Patient Department Complex. It was started with a prayer led by the Chief Nurse Ms. Evelyn Rubia after declaring that the said assembly has a quorum. Dr. Glory V. Baltazar, Medical Center Chief (MCC), presented to the body the updates on hospital development such as changes in the organizational structure of the hospital wherein it is now divided into four major divisions namely Medical & Ancillary, Nursing, HOPS and Financial Management Office.
On the other hand, Dr. Baltazar informed the body about the staffing pattern for the implementation of 400 bed capacity of the hospital. She is hopeful that the said plantilla positions will be downloaded to the hospital before the year ends. Likewise, Dr. Baltazar encouraged the cooperation of the body in meeting the requirements of a Level III Training Hospital like at least 2 clinical departments must have accredited residency training program, establishment of Physical Rehabilitation Unit, Histopathology and Hemodialysis. One of the agenda the was discussed was the Infrastructure Plan of BGH wherein the new Pediatric building is expected to be built this 2016, a Multispecialty center as well as diagnostic center by 2017 and lastly OPD Laboratory Diagnostic Center by 2018.
Furthermore, Dr. Baltazar gave feedback on the status of longevity and hazard pay among BGH employees for the years 2014, 2015 and 2016 respectively. She presented also the financial performance of the hospital as well as the Quality Management System through Performance Target based on Major Final Output (MFO) for Hospital Services.
Other agenda that were discussed were the availability of Employees Health Handbook with a main purpose of increasing health consciousness among employees and their immediate family member; amendments on the hospital scorecard wherein it was approved by the majority of the attendees. Lastly, Ms. Zenaida Ramos, head of Human Resource, reoriented the attendees on the Code of Conduct of DOH employees while Mr. Paolo Nuestro of the IHOMP demonstrated the online viewing of pay slip.
