In April 08, 2015, the medical team of Veterans Memorial Medical Center (VMMC) headed by its Chief of Medical Professional Staff, Dr. Dominador M. Chiong Jr. in cooperation with the Bataan General Hospital conducted a medical, surgical and dental mission to all Bataenos especially to the Philippine veterans in observance of the Araw ng Kagitingan with a theme "Ipunla ang Kagitingan sa Kabataan, Ihanda ang Beterano ng Kinabukasan". The said mission was one of the programs provided by the Philippine government in coordination with the Veterans Federation of the Philippines.

Hon. Herminia Roman, congresswoman of the 1st District of Bataan, gave her inspirational message emphasizing the significance of the role played by our veterans during the World War II. Cong. Roman mentioned "the said mission serves as a symbol of gratitude to all veterans and this is the time wherein we need to show to them our appreciation for all the things that they have done during the war in order for us to enjoy our freedom now".

Meanwhile, Dr. Glory V. Baltazar, Medical Center Chief of Bataan General Hospital, expressed her warmest welcome and gratitude to the medical team of Veterans Memorial Medical Center who participated in the mission for their unwavering support and service to all Bataenos. "We at BGH together with our partners in health are always ready to be in service for the welfare of the community people" Dr. Baltazar added.

The said mission offered various health care services such as dental care, optometry wherein several eyeglasses were distributed, obstetrics & gynecology, medical care with free medicines, pediatrics and mass circumcision of more or less 400 children and other major surgical operations.
