On December 3, 2018, the whole family of Bataan General Hospital and Medical Center together with its stakeholders has celebrated its 77th Founding Anniversary wherein the highlight of this year’s celebration was the unveiling of BGH’s new name based on Republic Act No. 11107 and the groundbreaking ceremony of Acute Psychiatry building. The event was formally started with an invocation and singing of Philippine national anthem, DOH and BGHMC hymn which was led by the hospital’s choir. In her welcome remarks, Dr. Glory V. Baltazar announced to the audience that BGHMC now is already a Level III teaching and training hospital after meeting all the necessary requirements of the Department of Health (DOH). Likewise, she stated that aside from being an ISO-accredited institution, BGHMC has successfully passed the two stages of the Performance Governance System (PGS) namely the Initiation and Compliance stages which made BGHMC as one of the benchmarking areas of hospitals for PGS. Dr. Baltazar emphasized that all of the accomplishments of BGHMC became possible because of the hardworking and dedicated hospital personnel.
