2017 GENERAL ASSEMBLY
On January 27, 2017 at 4:00 in the afternoon, the Bataan General Hospital held its Annual General Assembly at the OPD Complex, Bataan General Hospital (BGH), Balanga City, Bataan.
Medical Center Chief, Dr. Glory V. Baltazar emphasized the right of the people to information on matters of public concern shall be recognized and transparency in governance. This act is anent to the State policy of full public disclosure of all its transactions involving public interest.
Bloodletting Activity
The Blood Bank of Bataan General Hospital in coordination with the Municipality of Pilar has successfully conducted its Bloodletting activity last January 27, 2017 at the municipal covered court in Pilar, Bataan wherein several people from different walks of life were gathered to share their lives voluntarily by means of giving their blood. The primary objective of the said activity is to collect a variety of blood products that will be utilized in saving the lives of patients especially among in-patients of BGH who are in need of blood.
Medical Specialist (MS) on Wheels
The Bataan General Hospital has successfully conducted its Service Delivery Network (SDN) project known as Medical Specialist (MS) on Wheels last January 25, 2017 in Morong, Bataan wherein 134 patients were served by the team. The said project was launched on December 1, 2016 during the celebration of World AIDS Day through the initiative of Dr. Glory V. Baltazar, Medical Center Chief of BGH, in coordination with the province of Bataan under the governance of Hon. Albert Raymond S. Garcia with the aim of increasing the life expectancy of BataeƱos through their improved health-seeking behavior. The MS on Wheels will visit each municipality on assigned schedule to conduct free specialty care services especially on the fields of Cardiology, Oncology, Obstetrics-Gynecology, Pediatrics, Neurology, Pulmonology, Surgery, Nephrology, Ophthalmology, Dental including Family Planning, HIV Counseling & Testing and Bloodletting.
Accredited Anesthesiology Residency Training Program

In keeping up with the new status of Bataan General Hospital as a Level 3 health care facility, the Department of Anesthesiology submitted its letter of intent to have an accredited residency training program to the Philippine Board of Anesthesiology (PBA) during the first quarter of the year. Upon fulfilling the requirements for application, a visit was scheduled.
