BATAAN GENERAL HOSPITAL JOINS THE 2ND QUARTER NATIONWIDE SIMULTANEOUS EARTHQUAKE DRILL (NSED) 2016

On June 22nd, at around 0830H, the personnel of the Bataan General Hospital participated in the hospital earthquake drill. This is in conjunction with the conduct of the 2nd Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED), spearheaded by the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council or NDRRMC.
BGH celebrates World No Tobacco Day

The Bataan General Hospital joins the international community in the celebration of World No Tobacco Day under the theme "Get Ready for Plain Packaging". According to World Health Organization Framework Convention on Tobacco Control (WHO FCTC), plain packaging otherwise known as standardized packaging refers to "measures to restrict or prohibit the use of logos, colors, brand images or promotional information on packaging other than brand names and product names displayed in a standard color and font style.
HIV Awareness Seminar at Orica Philippines

The HIV-AIDS Core Team (HACT) of Bataan General Hospital has successfully conducted the seminar on HIV Awareness among the employees of Orica Philippines Incorporated in Limay, Bataan last May 24, 2016. The said activity was initiated by the Medical Center Chief of BGH, Dr. Glory V. Baltazar, as part of the hospital's advocacy on HIV awareness especially in the workplace and also in the observance of Philippine AIDS Hour and AIDS Candlelight. Mr. Romeo Tuazon Jr., Health Education and Promotion Officer of BGH, discussed the Basics of STI, HIV and AIDS wherein he emphasized the modes of transmission of HIV and its preventive measures. On the other hand, Dr. Noel Laxamana, HACT physician, gave his lecture on the importance of HIV counseling and testing as well as the different services offered by Bataan HAVEN. HAVEN which stands for Home Away from Verdict of society Ensuring Nurture is the only treatment hub in the province of Bataan dedicated for people living with HIV.
