Dugtong-Buhay BloodLetting Activity
The Blood Bank of Bataan General Hospital in coordination with the Bataan Multi-Sectoral Governance Coalition (MSGC) has successfully conducted its Bloodletting activity last March 18, 2016 and it will be done twice a year with a primary objective of collecting blood that will be utilized in saving the lives of patients especially the in-patients of BGH who are in need of blood. Bataan MSGC serves an oversight committee for the performance of provincial government wherein Dr. Glory V. Baltazar, Medical Center Chief of BGH, is one of its members particularly for the health sector.
ISO 2nd Surveillance Audit 2016
The Bataan General Hospital has successfully passed the 2nd ISO 9001:2008 Surveillance Audit conducted by the International Standards Certification (ISC) Global last February 22, 2015. The audit team was headed by Mr. Eliseo Q. Manarez Jr. together with Dr. Ricardo R. Adriano Jr., Engr. Leo Salano and Ms. Gracelle Sayas. During the opening meeting, Dr. Glory V. Baltazar, Medical Center Chief of BGH, presented the Journey of BGH before and after wherein she emphasized not only the continual improvement of the infrastructures but also the capabilities of the staff. Dr. Baltazar discussed also the impact of ISO Certification to BGH from the time it was awarded in March 06, 2014 and also the accomplishments and future plans of the hospital in improving the delivery of quality health care services to the community.
BGH bags 3 major awards from CLEXAH
The Bataan General Hospital bagged three major awards during the 4th Central Luzon Excellence Awards for Health (CLEXAH) 2015 last February 04, 2016 at the Holiday Inn, Clark Freeport Zone in Pampanga. The said event was organized by the DOH Regional Office III to recognize the champions in the delivery of quality health care in order to achieve the DOH's Millennium Development Goals, Universal Health Care or Kalusugan Pangkalahatan and High Impact Five Program 2015.
Lay Forum on Ostomy Care
The Bataan General Hospital in coordination with the National Federation of Ostomates of the Philippines (NFOP) has successfully conducted the Lay Forum on Ostomy Care last January 27, 2016 at BGH Conference room. Mr. Ronald Lara, Coordinator of NFOP, presented before the Medical Center Chief of BGH, Dr. Glory V. Baltazar and other members of the EXECOM the vision/mission of the their organization and its advocacy regarding the formation of support group among ostomates in the hospital. The forum was formally started with an invocation and followed by the welcome remarks by Dr. Roberto Luneta, Chief of Medical Professional Staff. Dr. Chandler Andrade, Medical Specialist of BGH, discussed the topics on Indications and Complications of Ostomy wherein he emphasized that having an ostomy doesn’t mean the end of the world.
